There are multiple ways on how you can change your inventory stock. Each Inventory type has its own nuances when it comes to stock changes. A guide for each can be found here:
In this guide, we will be covering the stock changes for Merged Inventory items.
The easiest way to change stock levels is from the main Inventory table, Warehouse column.
Note: it is not possible to change the stock in the main Inventory table while using multiple warehouses, it can be changed just inside inventory item.
Focus on the Warehouse column, in there you will find the Total sub-column. Because the number has an underline it means that it can be edited directly.
We're going to change the stock for the Simple inventory item "Sku_tshirt_1". Simply press on the number in the total sub-column.
Type in a new stock level (we entered 20 in this case). And press Enter.
The stock instantly changed. The total sub-column has updated to 20 and the Available column to 19 as 1 stock item is in order. (except Amazon, which will update during the latest sync).
You can also change the stock levels from inside the Merged inventory item. Just click on the product name of the item that you want to edit.
We choose the same item as last time T-Shirt Red XL SKU: Sku_tshirt_1.
Now focus on the Product Info area, you will find that it also has a very similar layout to the Warehouse column inside the Inventory table.
As you can see the number in Total at the bottom is underlined, which means it can be edited. Differently from Simple Products, you can only change the stock number at the bottom-most field, that is because the Merged items inventories as synced to be the same at all times.
Enter the new stock levels.
And press Enter. In a few moments, you will see that all Total and Available fields updated with new information.
If we go back to the main Inventory table, we will see that the stock levels have also updated there as well.
The last available option to update inventory stock levels through Multiorders is to create a Purchase Order. This can be done from the Purchases tab in the main menu.
You can read more about how Purchase Orders work, here.
