How to add Order Notes

Learn how to add order notes and email them to a customer

How to add notes to orders

  1. Go to the Orders page and find the Icons column:

  2. A note icon would be the first one in line. If the note icon is grey, it means there is no note on the order. If it is yellow it means that either an order came in with a note from the customer or a note is left by any of your staff. Click on it to open:

  3. A popup will appear where you will be able to see previously left notes if there are any and add a new one by typing the text and clicking on Add Note:

    You will see that the notes left by the staff will carry their name and date of entry.

    NOTE: order notes are visible to staff members with access to Orders. Learn about different user access levels here.

You can also add a note inside the order. Open any order, scroll down until you can see the bottom of the middle column, enter a note and click on Add Note:

The customer notes will be marked in green and notes left by the staff will be marked in yellow.


How to email an order note to a customer

Open any order and scroll down until you can see the bottom of the middle column where you can create a note and see your past notes.

On every left note you will see an email icon that allows you to send the order note to customers email:

Click on it, accept the confirmation and that's it - the note has been emailed to the customer.


How to add order notes on an invoice

Open any order and scroll down until you can see the bottom of the middle column where you can create a note and see your past notes.

On every left note you will see an eye icon that allows you to add a note on an invoice:

Once you click on it, the icon will turn green:

Once you print the invoice, the note will show on the top under Staff Notes:
